Polygonal Paper Chair by Christian Fiebig

El diseñador Alemán Christian Fiebig decidió hacer un rediseño de la silla Chesterfield deep buttoned armchair, inspirandose en el origami y formas poligonales. Gracias a un programa en computador realizó este prototipo en papel para poder apreciar la escala real del producto. Actualmente trabaja en el desarrollo de esta hermosa silla en materiales reales.

German designer Christian Fiebig has redesigned the Chesterfield deep buttoned armchair based on origami and poligonal shapes. The product’s real scale is shown on this paper  prototype, which was done trough a computer program. The designer is currently working on the development of this beautiful chair in real materials.

Wooden Textiles by Elisa Strozyk

Aunque a simple vista parezca papel, en realidad esta superficie esta elaborada en madera. La diseñadora Alemana Elisa Strozyk investiga diferentes formas de dar a la madera propiedades textiles, convirtiéndola en un elemento flexible y suave, creando una superficie con elementos textiles que se entretejen. Una de sus maneras de hacer la madera flexible es cortarla en piezas, a mano o con corte laser, y atarlas a una base textil.

 IN-EI by Issey Miyake

El diseñador de moda Japonés Issey Miyake se ha basado en el concepto IN-EI que significa “sombra y matices” para crear una serie de lamparas LED en alianza con la compañía italiana Artemide. Las lamparas pasan de ser un objeto 2D a un objeto con mayor volúmen simplemente con un pliegue. Están hechas en una sola pieza de tela elaborada con botellas plásticas recicladas. Gracias a las fibras del material el producto se sostiene solo son necesidad de una estructura interna.

Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake based on the concept of IN-EI, which means “shadow and shades” to create a series of LED lamps in partnership with the Italian company Artemide. The lamps become a voluminous shape from a 2D object trough a simple fold. They are made in an only piece of fabric made ​​from recycled plastic bottles. Thanks to the fibers of the material, the product doesn’t need any internal structure.

El objetivo de estas ingeniosas bolsas es dar una nueva silueta y atribuir lujo cotidiano a un objeto tan común como la bolsa de papel tradicional. Al transformar su forma usual, Ilvy Jacobs pretende hacer que la bolsa resalte y sea un objeto que el usuario desee conservar en lugar de tirarlo a la basura luego de que cumpla su función.

Creada por los Holandeses Dowe Jacobs y Tom Schouten , quienes buscaban hacer una silla plegable que utilizara el menor espacio posible pero ajustarse a su vez a diversos ambientes. De ahi su nombre que combina las palabras flexible y luxury, siendo un producto completamente adaptable y compacto.
